Read each kind of evidence correctly

Software validation
A successful compile checks that the source is accepted by the toolchain. It does not show how the script behaves on hardware or in a match.
Hardware connection
A device or controller connection establishes a narrower observation. It cannot validate every game, mode, feature or console combination.
Gameplay result
A useful record includes the exact build, method, settings, outcomes and limits. A beta result must remain labeled as a beta result after launch.

What to include in a test record

  • Game build, test date, platform and mode.
  • Script version, device firmware and controller model.
  • Connection method and relevant in-game settings.
  • The feature being checked and a repeatable test procedure.
  • Observed failures, scope and untested combinations.

Compatibility does not establish permission

Activision’s stated rules apply independently of whether a device connects or a feature operates. Read the publisher-policy guide before interpreting a compatibility claim as permission or account safety.
